Frequently Asked Questions

Are the apps really free?

Yes! Both LiveSource and the Director app are completely free for all HodieTech customers. They're included with every subscription plan.

Do I need special equipment?

No special equipment needed. LiveSource works with standard iOS and Android smartphones. We recommend devices from 2018 or newer for best performance.

What's the difference between SRT and RTMP?

SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) offers lower latency and automatic error correction, great for unreliable networks. RTMP is universally compatible with existing streaming infrastructure. LiveSource supports both.

How many camera operators can stream at once?

All HodieTech plans include up to 4 simultaneous camera feeds. Need more? You can add cameras 5-8 as add-ons to support larger productions.

Can volunteers use these apps?

Absolutely! LiveSource is designed to be simple enough for anyone to use. Camera operators just sign in, select their event, and tap Go Live. No technical training required.
